I just to love buying my groceries at Savemart, and I really thought everything they sell was fresh but today I was very disappointed, I went to get some groceries and I got a avocado salsa and a hummus, I trusted this grocery store so much that I never had to check the expiration date on their products with this been said today when I got home excited to eat the hummus and the avocado salsa, the hummus had mold and I checked both items and the expiration date for one was today and the other one tomorrow. This really disappointed me because now if I want to go back to buy I will have to check every item their expiration date 😭 and the product were not even on special normally when they have a special price is mb because the expiration date, that’s what I think but no more trust buying on that store!

Very nice produce , but in general , I don't like Save Mart because of their lighting! That may sound strange, but it's just too dimly lit, and that bothers me. It doesn't seem right for a grocery store to not be brightly lit.

The store was closing so I was in a rush. I couldn't find anything and had to ask but the employees were helpful and prices fair. Almost no need for their loyalty club account. That is good. I didn't have to download the app to get the sale prices. Over all a good experience. 😀

I went to this Save Mart to pick up some chicken wings and potato wedges for our kids. Jose was behind the counter at the delicatessen,. His very warm welcome and a friendly smile, was just what this tired essential worker needed at the end of the day. The kids really enjoyed their appetizers. 😋 Thank you, Jose, for your excellent customer service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Save Mart is a decent neighborhood grocery store, though it definitely shows its age compared to competitors like Safeway or Raley’s. They often have sales and promotions that line up with those bigger chains, which is nice, but the store itself feels a little more dated. One thing that stands out is the security setup. There’s typically a guard near the front, and the layout funnels everyone through a single exit. I understand why—it’s clear the store has been affected by theft and tough times—but as a customer, it can feel uncomfortable and distracting to be watched so closely. It’s also frustrating when you park near one exit, only to find it’s closed when you go to check out. At the same time, I’d much rather see them protect their business than risk closures. The real blame lies with the thieves. Shoppers could help by letting staff know if they see someone pocketing items, but not everyone wants to involve themselves in that kind of situation. The staff, in my experience, has generally been friendly and helpful when I’ve needed assistance, which is one of the store’s stronger points. Where I’ve had the most frustration is with their app. For example, you might see a sign that says an item is 3 for $10 (instead of $5 each), but unless you’ve clipped the digital coupon in the app, it rings up at full price. That’s frustrating because the signage doesn’t make it clear you need to do anything extra. When this happens, the staff hasn’t been very helpful — it usually means either paying the higher price or canceling your transaction, clipping the coupons, and starting over at the back of the line. The whole process is more complicated than it should be compared to other stores. Overall, Save Mart does a good job with service and offers fair prices when sales are applied, but the combination of security measures, app frustrations, and the store’s older feel make shopping there less smooth than it could be. Still, I appreciate that they’re trying to stay competitive, and I hope they continue to adapt so they remain a convenient option in the community. Edit: Rude service and poor communication. I’ve tried to be patient with how busy this location gets, but the service is consistently unprofessional. When I asked a simple question about a digital coupon for an avocado, the cashier became visibly irritated. Instead of explaining the price difference or answering me, she silently removed the item, ignored my explanation, and continued a personal conversation with the bagger while popping her gum. Very rude experience with the blonde cashier.
