Discovered a sugarcane stand that has sweet yellow sugarcane just like in Vietnam. The same stand sells big papayas and avocados. Definitely a hidden gem in Chinatown

It was fun revisiting the place where my grandfather used to pick-up our groceries. A couple of the vendors are still there but I saw that it was not as busy like the old days. I enjoyed the fresh assortment of fresh fish and produce. Also, they had various stalls which offered a variety of roasted meats. Fong’s Meat Market is the one I usually purchase from.

Chinatown’s Oahu Market really do have good prices, Fresh seafood & fruits and vegetables. Some, if not most, vendors are cash only. Metered street parking and nearby pay parking lot available.

Be careful. Sing Hing market is disgusting. Most of them probably didn't understand food safety. They mix raw pork knives with the cooked goods area. Here's a photo of the raw pork splattered on the place they chop roast pork

I added Uni for $7. The portion was just right! I wish I had a little more uni but it was great overall. I'll definitely be back! Thank you.
