While I want to like times, I just cannot give it a good review. It sits somewhere between a convenience store and a grocery store but with convenience store prices and higher. If you want a cold soda, $4+. Worst yet, the only good part about this place has been completely rugged, the plate lunches. What used to be a good deal, an entree with a few sides, is now an entree with a couple scoops of rice and 1 side from a much more limited selection. This is no longer a bargain and you are better off going to foodland or even whole foods nearby. Time to send the accountant back to the office and bring back your sales manager.

Times Supermarket is sometimes cheaper than Sam’s Club and Walmart especially in their sales prices of select fresh fruits, vegetables and local comfort foods. I am impressed, Times! Thank you! Blessed Easter! Also, they’ve changed their hot food counter offerings for Sunday! Now it’s grilled steak, Italian salmon or guava spare ribs! Yay! I think Ma Crisel Yamane, the Store Director, deserves a Times Supermarket Store Director of the Year award, a promotion with more pay (but please don’t transfer her out of the Times Kaimuki-we regular customers all love her)and a monetary BONUS for how she has turned the store around in 1 year. She is everywhere at once and does whatever is needed, leading by example, and she is always friendly and courteous with a smile for her regular customers.

Good poke and bento options, reasonably priced, quick and easy. Lastest item is poke nacho's made with won ton chips and any poke from the seafood counter.

Update: They have added a Self Check Out area with 4 registers. Convienent, fast great add-on. Favorite location near home, one of their older store it's easy to find in the Kaimuki Shopping Center lower level. No matter what time of day there's always a steady amount of shoppers till closing. My favorite time to shop is after 830pm. You will find a take-out food department and seafood department with your normal produce & meats. A decent liquor area near the cash registers. Majority of the time the Store Manager always visible in the front area. Friendly and helpful staff. The store is s pretty good with their inventory. Highly recommend shopping here!

Used enjoy going to Times supermarket deli for assorted plate lunches but giving only 3 stars because prices have significantly increased on main items and choices of sides has been narrowed down and no longer offering brown rice as a choice.
