I have visited three times. First time, got a hew groceries with my partner and discovered the amazing deal on eggs. The tres leches was eh, a bit too dry. Second time, I went after work to get dinner. Got me a large plate with black rice, yellow plantains, yuka, oxtail, and two empanadas. That plate lasted me til the next day and the workers were great about getting someone to read me the options and help me navigate the store as I am blind. Third time, my family were in town and I suggested we go to Happy for food. Got an assortment and everyone enjoyed. A woman that remembered me from my second visit said hi. I definitely feel the community and love the selection and prices on certain items. I will certainly be returning for my carton of eggs and prepared food for when cooking just ain't it

Loved coming here during my lunch breaks since I work literally up the street. But my recent visits have caused me to now no longer support this business. For one, the pricing is never reliable or the same. One day with one employee, I can get a seven dollar meal, but with a different employee on a different day, maybe it’ll be a different price even though there’s pricing right above them? Nonetheless, the food is still fabulous. Well, it was. My coworkers were stating that they had gotten their food raw, but because my food was not raw I wasn’t really concerned until my recent order. I got baked chicken and me as well as my coworker had raw chicken and we had come earlier in the morning this particular visit. I’ve come to realize if it’s not items that I can usually find within a grocery store and not a freshly cooked meal, I don’t think I will be shopping with them again. It would’ve been one thing if a piece of my food was raw, but as of late, I’ve been feeling sick and I’m not going to put the full blame on this establishment, but it is disappointing to see such a flavorful community ran business Fall so short from the ball just because of their clientele levels being Able to keep them running and open that they would risk the health of this client out as well. I wish them the best in their endeavors, but I hope that they start to cook the food longer as this is a health risk.

UPDATE: Happy’s has now officially expanded it size and product selection. It now carries produce, meat, a wide variety of milks, frozen dinners, etc. At this point I would consider it a mini grocery store. Happy's Market has recently taken over Fernandez Spa as the go-to variety store on this block. It almost seems like Fernandez's Spa just renamed and renovated its space, because the selection of stock and the latin music is pretty much the same as Fernandez's Spa. They are still under construction, so the end space will likely be 2x the size, but the lighting is much brighter and warmer and it feels like a pleasant neighborhood convenience store.

Great little local grocery store. Excellent prices in the deli. Other items might be a touch pricey, but the staff is always friendly and helpful. Se habla español.

Many verses foods hot food delisouse, and fruit sweet and fresh. The meats are very reasonable.
