I don't know how this place has such good reviews. The prices are exorbitant and the quality is terrible. I bought veggies there on Sunday because I was desperate and they are already soggy/moldy/ bad. Pictures from Sunday of produce in the store.

Stale and expired products on the shelves. Veggies look like they’ve been at another market first. Ice cream with ice streaks- clearly defrosted at some point. Mostly alcohol. Can’t speak for meat section. I don’t know if they would have accepted expired products because I did not take a receipt that time and I didn’t feel like arguing. They are ok for milk products. There is a surprisingly wide international selection. But you wonder where and how long the food was stored first. I keep waiting for them to improve, however, we just need a proper grocery in Golden Hill.

This place used to be great when we first moved into the neighborhood a year ago. It’s slowly gone downhill since then. We’ve purchased bags of stale chips that smell old, we’ve seen fruit flies buzzing above the produce, and we’ve seen beverages marked way over the average selling price. The only consistent positive has been the customer service - the staff is wonderful - but given the high prices and inconsistent quality, we’ll probably start going elsewhere.

This grocery store is great! It’s got an amazing selection of meats and good produce. It’s convenient to get in and out of over most of the other stores in the area. They have a great selection of spirits as well. It is a little more pricy but it’s worth checking out.

Overall staff is awesome and super friendly! Sandwiches are really good (just not when the weekend girl makes them) Last time I found a hair in mine, and on top of that it’s almost impossible for her to understand what I’m saying, so my order always ends up wrong.
