I used to buy quite a bit of fresh salmon there. But my last two orders were old. I couldn’t eat them. Curious, I called Sprouts and asked how long they keep their fresh Salmon. The answer was four days!!! Four. My father was a Culinary Institute trained chef, he always told me two was the max for fish. Actually it’s three according to the FDA website. That means there is a good chance you are buying spoiled salmon if you hit there on day four. I will never buy fish there again.

Cheryl, Darlene, Cynthia and Veronica are amazing customer service stars. Darlene and Cynthia have been an important part of our shopping experience for years. We know we can count on them consistently for any help with anything. We look for them every time we shop at Sprouts. They are helpful and so patient. We feel acknowledged as valuable customers by these individuals. We met Rodney the other day and he was very helpful in resolving issues with our rewards account. It appears we still have issues with our rewards account and Cynthia is also helping us with that. You have hired the best people and we are grateful. Please let each person know how valued and appreciated they are Mary Elizabeth and Ara Smith .

Sprouts always has a good selection of items to buy. I needed green and red grapes. They had a container that had both. I really appreciated this because I was making a dessert for a get together and I only needed a few. This was better than having to buy both separately. I also needed strawberries, blueberries, apples (2 different colors as well). They had the strawberry yogurt as well as the whipped cream. It's great when you only have to stop at one store to get all that you need. And their veggies and fruits are always fresh!

Moldy cheese purchased two days ago, Wednesday 11/26. It has a March 5 2026 use by date! Purchasing fresh food at Sprouts is a crapshoot. I never know when they've stocked spoiled food, like this cheese, berries, milk, cream, half and half, or freezer burned (previously melted) ice cream. Their warehousing or transportation must be chronically faulted. Sprouts has sold me more spoiled food than I can count. Sure I can return it, but driving all the way there for an exchange or $7 refund is just a frustration, and not worth my time. Horrible.

Update: The spoiled goods on their shelves continue. I bought a jug of chocolate milk yesterday, and it was dated February 3, which is four days from now. It was already spoiled. Now I have to take it back. I just switched this reviewfrom three stars to two stars. Original review: I like the selection of groceries here, and they have pretty good quality meats. However, they have a chronic problem with stale food. I just bought a package of sprouts brand ground decaf coffee and it was completely stale. I very rarely buy berries there because they’re often moldy. I’ve purchased many dairy products over the years especially milk that was turned; they routinely put cartons of milk out that are right up against their expiration date and if you’re not vigilant they’re happy to sell you stale milk. It’s a decent store, but something is wrong with their warehousing or their quality control, especially with dairy products, berries, grated cheese, things from the freezer case, like freezer burned ice cream, because the freezer is always seem to be breaking. Another problem is that they seem to be chronically out of cottage cheese, and sometimes they’re short on yogurt.
