This is a big new and beautiful H-E-B. There’s even a corner of it. That’s like a food court with several different restaurants in it. If this were a little bit closer to me, it would be my first choice, but I do come here occasionally when I’m over this direction.

I live closer to the HEB on 7th but that place is an absolute train wreck of a store. I have quite enjoyed my experience at this store until today - I had a curbside order to collect from 5.30-6.00. When it got to 5.45pm I still hadn’t received a text to notify me my groceries are ready. This has happened before and it’s not a big deal, I wait at home until I receive the text. The text came through at 5.50. I got in my car and was at the store 20 minutes later. The line was outrageous. There were no curbside spots, there was a line to wait to get into one of the spots, and then there was no one to speak to. I walked up to the door and they said that we just had to wait in the line until a spot opens up. Having done this numerous times I know how long it takes for orders to come out to the car - this would have been easily a 40 minute wait for something that is supposed to be “convenient” - I walked up to the doors and had a staff member cancel my order. HEB isn’t the only option for groceries in Austin, my experience at the stores closest to me hasn’t been stellar. I’ll look for somewhere else to shop.

I was born and raised in an HEB family and I don’t see that changing anytime soon! Along with great HEB brand products, awesome coupons, and great staff, they are always finding new ways to go above and beyond. I happened to have a curbside pickup set for Mother’s Day and I was greeted at my car with a flower and note from an HEB staff member. It made my day, thank you HEB Mueller! 🌸

I do not have a lot of experience shopping at HEB because other stores are closer to where I live. I happen to go to this HEB because I figure why not. First off let me say that this place is huge inside. It does not look from the outside but once you go in it's big. They have a couple little small restaurants in the wall where you can get something to eat which is cool plus places to sit in or outside. If your were to do some heavy shopping I'm sure it would take you an hour looking around and going down the aisles. I went here to buy some plant based items and I took a few pictures of what I saw. Some things I have seen in other stores some I have not. It's a nice store that kind of reminds me of a store called FOOD4LESS. For all of you California people out there you know about that store before it got bought out. Anyways I would go back and check it out again but maybe when it's not super crowded because the lines to pay were nuts. Almost forgot the bathroom for the men were clean and nice. Lol

I love this HEB for the convenience alone. It's right near my work so it's my quick stop on the way home if we forgot something for dinner. The store itself is always well stocked when you catch things in time...because items definitely go fast here. If you want something specific, you've gotta be quick! The cashiers are honestly great! Always friendly, efficient, and they keep the lines moving when the store is packed (which is basically anytime between 2p-8p). The "food court" options are also a huge win. Everything I've tried has been delicious, which makes the trip feel a little more fun than your average grocery run. Now for the brutally honest part...The parking lot is absolutely terrifying. (I legitimately was blocked in by 4 police cruisers doing a search of a car in the parking lot. It took almost an hour from my "quick lunch" grab). It's nothing on HEB itself (per se) or the employees, but wow...definitely requires a full pep talk before driving over there. I've also had a couple rough experiences. The Mueller Bar staff has pretty much been rude each time I've gone which is a bummer because it's such a cool concept! I also ordered a cake recently and it unfortunately wasn't ready at the scheduled pickup time and I had to wait over 20 minutes while they iced it...the handwriting on it looked very child-like and not in a pleasant way. Overall though, the location is incredibly convenient, the store is busy for a reason and the cashiers are doing a great job keeping things running smoothly. Just come mentally prepared for the parking situation and maybe grab your must-have items early before they disappear.
